Meridian Industrial: a day with an AI workforce
What this is
Meridian Industrial is a fictional $312M maker of industrial pumps, enclosures and hydraulic power units. You play its VP of Operations and Supply Chain. In about three minutes you connect the company's email, ERP, Salesforce, spreadsheets, contracts, Teams and market feeds, set the authority policy for the workforce, and watch a knowledge graph of 14,200 objects assemble. Then you pick a bad day.
Every scenario proves the same four things in order. Scattered systems become one connected, traceable picture. The workforce quantifies impact and brings back options with tradeoffs, asking for your judgment where policy requires it. Drafted emails, orders, forecasts and memos land in an approval inbox, and nothing leaves without a human yes. Work continues across simulated days: chasing suppliers, waiting on replies, re-planning when facts change.
The three scenarios
- Port closure. A Gulf terminal closes overnight; the workforce finds which orders are truly exposed, re-sources the metal and keeps customers whole.
- Forecast update. Three systems give three revenue numbers; the workforce reconciles them into one Q4 forecast the CFO can defend to the board.
- Purchasing exception. A buyer's morning: a late valve shipment, nine jobs on the part, two actually at risk, and a suspicious bank-detail email the workforce refuses to act on.
